Stainless Steel Hydraulic Separator for Heating
The main role of the vapor-liquid separator is to protect the compressor when the refrigerant liquid is returned after start-up, operation or defrosting (heat pump), mainly by separating and preserving the refrigerant liquid in the return pipe to achieve protection. The gas-liquid separator provides additional internal volume on the low pressure side of the system to temporarily store excess refrigerant liquid, and also prevents excess refrigerant from flowing to the compressor crankcase resulting in oil dilution. So it is sometimes called a low pressure reservoir.
