The four corners of the plate are provided with round holes to form a fluid channel. The hot and cold fluids alternately flow on both sides of the plate and transfer heat through the plate. The thickness of the plate heat exchanger plates is 0.5 ~ 3 mm, and it is usually pressed into various corrugated shapes, which not only increases the stiffness, but also makes the fluid distribution uniform, strengthens the turbulence, and improves the heat transfer coefficient. The common width of the plate size is 200 ~ 1000 mm, and the height is up to 2 m. The distance between the two plates is usually 4 to 6 mm. The number of plates can be increased or decreased according to changes in process conditions. The plate material is generally stainless steel, but also other corrosion-resistant alloy materials.
